Remember that GPS navigation application that Nokia was touting during the Mobile World Congress earlier this year? Well, Nokia has just released it officially. Nokia Maps 2.0 is a nifty application made specifically for Series 60 mobile handsets that include all N-series and E-series models as well as some high-end 6000 series models.
This useful application will give users access to free downloadable maps of around 200 countries. It’s got street by street and city to city routes, various perspectives of different maps and even gives out some multimedia city guides which is available as a premium upgrade.

In addition, Nokia Maps 2.0 also gives out foot-friendly navigation with its Walk mode feature and a visual “bread crumb” trail which will tell you where you just have been. Even more sweet are the turn-by-tun directions which happen to be voice-guided. And to help you find your way through busy streets, Nokia Maps offers up faster shortcuts in getting from one point of interest to another.
Finally, to make it easier for user to download map data on their mobile phone’s memory card, Nokia threw in a PC-based client aside from the facility to download these data while on-the-go using WiFi and other mobile data internet connection.

The slider styled, TouchFLO and Windows Mobile 6.1 equipped HTC Touch Dual is expected to finally become available at Best Buy retail locations, Best Buy Mobile locations and online this weekend. Having been announced back in April and the pre-order page showing up online last month it feels like its been a long wait, but with the Touch Dual’s features it should prove to be well worth it, especially for 3G loving AT&T customers.

While still unconfirmed, some further details have begun to leak out about the upcoming Eee Box from Asus. Although these are far from official, TrustedReviews are claiming the specs have come courtesy of a “very reliable” source.
Which at this point any information is welcome, with the Eee Box, we have had very little to go on aside from the early mock-up images and then the leaked image, which most felt looked not nearly as nice as the mock-ups. Otherwise we have heard that was set for a July release, but the specs have been elusive.
The new details are placing the Eee Box with a June 3 announcement during Computex and that it will feature 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and be running the same operating system that is found on the very lovable Eee PC notebook. As far as the availability, that is looking like its going to first be available in the UK during Q3 in white. No word yet on any black version, although it seems very likely given the past history with Asus. still unavailable is the pricing.

If you have a Caller ID box attached to your phone, then an amazing thing happens every time your phone rings -- the number (and sometimes even the name) of the calling party appears on the display right after the first ring!
It turns out that the process of making the caller ID display possible is remarkably simple at your end of the line. If you have read the HSW article entitled How Modems Work, then you know that the early modems used a technique called Frequency Shift Keying to transmit bits over a phone line. FSK is extremely simple: One tone (or frequency, like 1,200 Hertz) represents a binary 1, while another tone (like 2,200 Hertz) represents a binary zero. A modem changes frequencies depending on whether it wants to send a 1 or a 0. How quickly it changes frequencies determines the speed, or baud rate, of the modem.
To send caller ID information you your home, the phone company uses an FSK technique identical to a 1,200 baud modem and it sends ASCII character data to the caller ID box. The modem message is sent between the first and second ring. So the phone rings once, and if you could listen to the phone line just after that ring, you would hear a "bleeeep" sound about half a second long. If you decoded the bleep, you would find that it contains (in the simpler of the caller ID systems):
A series of alternating 1s and 0s to help the caller ID box get the timing down
A series of 180 1s
A byte representing the type of message
A byte representing the length of the message
Month, day, hour and minute, each represented with a pair of bytes
The 10 digit phone number in 10 bytes
A checksum byte There is also a more advanced system that contains the caller's name, etc., but its technique is identical (see the second link below for details). Each character is sent as a standard 8-bit ASCII character preceded by a "0" start bit and followed by a "1" stop bit.
The caller ID box contains a modem to decode the bits, a little circuit to detect a ring signal, and a simple processor to drive the display. That's really all there is to the whole thing!

Over the last 20 years or so, fiber optic lines have taken over and transformed the long distance telephone industry. Optical fibers are also a huge part of making the Internet available around the world. When fiber replaces copper for long distance calls and Internet traffic, it dramatically lowers costs.
To understand how a fiber optic cable works, imagine an immensely long drinking straw or flexible plastic pipe. For example, imagine a pipe that is several miles long. Now imagine that the inside surface of the pipe has been coated with a perfect mirror. Now imagine that you are looking into one end of the pipe. Several miles away at the other end, a friend turns on a flashlight and shines it into the pipe. Because the interior of the pipe is a perfect mirror, the flashlight's light will reflect off the sides of the pipe (even though the pipe may curve and twist) and you will see it at the other end. If your friend were to turn the flashlight on and off in a morse code fashion, your friend could communicate with you through the pipe. That is the essence of a fiber optic cable.
Making a cable out of a mirrored tube would work, but it would be bulky and it would also be hard to coat the interior of the tube with a perfect mirror. A real fiber optic cable is therefore made out of glass. The glass is incredibly pure so that, even though it is several miles long, light can still make it through (imagine glass so transparent that a window several miles thick still looks clear). The glass is drawn into a very thin strand, with a thickness comparable to that of a human hair. The glass strand is then coated in two layers of plastic.
By coating the glass in plastic, you get the equivalent of a mirror around the glass strand. This mirror creates total internal reflection, just like a perfect mirror coating on the inside of a tube does. You can experience this sort of reflection with a flashlight and a window in a dark room. If you direct the flashlight through the window at a 90 degree angle, it passes straight through the glass. However, if you shine the flashlight at a very shallow angle (nearly parallel to the glass), the glass will act as a mirror and you will see the beam reflect off the window and hit the wall inside the room. Light traveling through the fiber bounces at shallow angles like this and stays completely within the fiber.
To send telephone conversations through a fiber optic cable, analog voice signals are translated into digital signals (see How analog and digital recording works for details). A laser at one end of the pipe switches on and off to send each bit. Modern fiber systems with a single laser can transmit billions of bits per second -- the laser can turn on and off several billions of times per second. The newest systems use multiple lasers with different colors to fit multiple signals into the same fiber.
Modern fiber optic cables can carry a signal quite a distance -- perhaps 60 miles (100 km). On a long distance line, there is an equipment hut every 40 to 60 miles. The hut contains equipment that picks up and retransmits the signal down the next segment at full strength.

Do a full phone formatting on your phone as steps below;

1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left.
2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card.
3. Switch-off your phone.
4. Press and hold these 3 keys; Green dial key, * (star key) and no. 3 key and then press the power on/off to switch on the phone.
Remember, do not let go all of the keys, hold until you see a formatting word screen show!
5. After a few minutes when the full phone formatting completed, your phone will be back to original system and factory setttings.
Normal Reset *#7780# : Restores ini files from rom but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)
Hard Reset *#7370# : This reformats completely the C: drive.
All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.

1) Make sure that Messaging memory is set to Phone Memory
(Messages -> Settings -> Other -> Memory -> Phone memory).
2) With FExplorer, go to E:\System\Mail and delete the whole dir. Not just the content, the whole dir.
3) Go to Messages -> Settings -> Other -> Memory and select “MMC”
4) Now you will be prompted if you would like to copy the messages to your “new” location.

So there are two types of methods for recovering the password of your memory card with the help of nokia phone.
