SanDisk Corporation is launching a new line of SanDisk Mobile Ultra, microSD, microSDHC and Memory Stick Micro (M2) flash mobile memory cards, which are available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB capacities. The company is boasting that these are the first “premium” mobile phone storage cards.
if Aside from allowing a large amount of storage for music, video, photos and the myriad other multimedia functions now used by mobile phones, the company is promising faster transfer rates of data to and from these memory cards. Cards are bundled with a USB 2.0 adapter for transfer of data to and from a computer.
The 2GB card is promising enough storage for 250 songs, 1,200 photos or 3.5 hours of video. The 4GB card clocks in at 500 songs, 1,200 photos or 9.5 hours of video. The 8GB is touting an impressive 1,000 songs, 1,200 photos or an impressive 21 hours of video.
